I found this shop by google 'cup cakes london cute'
I went to my friend from JP on Fri, 3weeks ago around exactly tea time.
We ordered two cup cakes each with tea and enjoyed!
even weekday, there are lot of people inside the shop.
a queue.
I can imagine how long on weekend,,,:(
few chairs and smaaaaaal tables are available on the inside of shop.
in addition, around 4 round tables and chairs are available at a terrace.
You can enjoy lovely sunshine and sweet cakes when good weather.
The cakes are quite sweet. Its 'CUP CAKE'.
Many tastes are there.
I recommend to go during weekdays if you want to enjoy their cakes with tea.
Take away? You need still queueing up to get the cakes but OK even weekend,,,maybe.
the hummingbird bakeryはnottinghillにある有名なカップケーキのお店です。
友達の可愛いカフェでお茶したいっていうリクエストがあったので、
フェアリーケーキでググって見たところみつかりました。(timeout londonのレビューです)
日本人の観光客っぽいヒトたちもたくさんきてたので、たぶんガイドブックとかにも載ってるんだと思います。
平日のティータイムだったにもかかわらず、というかまぁ金曜日でしたが、
店の中にはキューができていました。
でもスタッフさんがつぎからつぎへと怒涛のようにオーダーをとっていくので、
そんなにダラダラと待った印象はありません。
店内には壁に沿ってカウンター席が5-6席程(?)とテラスに5席ほどイートインスペースがあります。
キューを見た瞬間イートインは無理かもっ?とおもったのですが、ちょうどテラスがあいたので確保できました。
片付けとかはまったく追いついてない感じですが、
そのへんはまぁUKってことでもう気にもならず・・・
キューの先の支払い時に飲み物を頼めば、持ってきてくれます。
american bakeryらしく、ケーキはめちゃめちゃあまいです。
でもチョコならチョコの風味がしっかり。バニラならバニラがふんわり。
といった感じの、おいしいカップケーキでした。2つ頼んじゃいましたが1つで充分です。
